Psychometrician

Job Description

We are looking for a full time psychometrician to help improve the way the world evaluates and selects people for jobs. This person will be very innovative and passionate about solving the problem of job fit. They will work closely with all teams at the company to create and improve our measurement instruments as well as share with the world all their amazing insights. Responsibilities

Assessment Creation and Improvement

  • Create assessments for personnel selection and performance (Psychometric assessments, Work Simulations, Interview guides, Questionnaires, etc…)
  • Testing current and new assessments using rigorous scientific psychometric methodologies
  • Enhance assessments on the basis of psychometric findings and customer feedback

 

Client Consulting

  • Work with customer success teams and customers to identify and develop projects that pertain to psychometrics and other means of measurement. (e.g conduct job analysis, work sample, job simulation)

 

Innovation

  • Develop new methodologies to assess people toward improving hiring accuracy and enhancing employee satisfaction and success.
  • Develop new models and methodologies to identify suiting jobs for people and suiting people for jobs. Unite career development research with IO psych personnel selection and performance research.
  • Translate ideas/innovations into concrete applications that can be implemented into the overall product in collaboration with the product team.

 

Writing & Presenting

  • Write easily understood stakeholder reports detailing the development of measures and other methodologies and their effectiveness at meeting client’s needs.
  • Write technical reports for internal teams detailing the methodologies and psychometric characteristic of assessment instruments
  • Write assessment content to be utilities within the product (Instructions, reports, definition, etc..)
  • Publish and present research findings bearing on the Journeyfront platform to the scientific community and in the media
  • Present findings to clients and internal team members
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD in any of the following fields (Organizational Behavior, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Measurement, Evaluation, & Research, or other relevant)  
  • 2+ years (5 years preferred) experience in developing and testing assessments
  • Experience working directly with clients in the area of developing and testing assessments
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Expertise working with softwares to develop and test assessments (E.g. SPSS, R, Stata, SAS, etc..)
  • Experience in personnel selection is a plus
  • Passionate about personal selection, satisfaction and success.
