VP / Head of Marketing

Journeyfront is a fast-growing enterprise software startup on a mission to transform the way the world thinks about the importance of hiring right – and how to do it. As a hiring platform, Journeyfront helps companies predict candidate performance, job satisfaction, and retention using a variety of different data-driven, customizable hiring tools: assessments, skills tests, job previews/simulations, interview tools, etc.

We are looking for a driven marketing leader who will be responsible for driving company growth through the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy.  In this role, you will help to increase the awareness and visibility of the company, generate demand and deliver qualified leads to sales, and build a world class brand. You will have the opportunity to build and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and shape the company’s long-term growth trajectory.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing driven lead generation: You will be responsible for developing and executing a complete demand generation strategy to achieve company lead goals.
    • Drive traffic
    • Top of funnel conversion

  • Brand Strategy: You will be responsible for developing and executing a brand strategy that will help achieve company goals. This will include:
    • Messaging & Value prop creation
    • Ideal Customer Profile through customer research
    • Market positioning through competitor research
    • Website design and development
    • Content Creation
    • Brand Guidelines
    • Visual Identity
    • Social media
    • PR
    • Case studies
  • Sales Support & Enablement: In collaboration with the sales team, you will be responsible for developing sales assets to increase sales conversion.
    • Asset creation for the sales team (one pagers, company overview, case studies, proposal docs, presentations, etc..)
    • Support with account-based marketing
  • Product Marketing: You will be responsible for helping take products to market, including explaining  new features, describing why they are important to our target audience, and building materials to train the sales team on how to sell new products.
  • Department Leadership: Build and manage a growing marketing team
  • Marketing Budget: You will be responsible for creating and owning the marketing budget that will be used to accomplish the marketing objectives
  • Executive Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with executives and internal teams to develop and execute marketing initiatives
  • Marketing Analytics: You will be responsible for tracking and analyzing all marketing data to ensure marketing success and real time reporting for the executive team
Requirements
  • 5+ year of experience in digital marketing, brand management, content creation or other marketing related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a Marketing leadership role
  • Experience growing a software startup to $50M or higher
  • Experience managing an annual marketing plan and budget
  • Strong history of repeatedly hitting and exceeding marketing targets, specifically qualified opportunity generation
  • Data-driven with strong quantitative and analytical skills in terms of the cost of each stage in the marketing funnel as well as LTV, return on investment, and marketing’s impact on the bottom line of the business
  • Ability to think critically with a bias toward action and creative solutions
  • Player-coach that is willing to pitch in to help accomplish lofty goals
  • Ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative research to inform recommendations, strategies, and deliverables
  • Experience creating content that will convert prospects throughout the customer journey.
  • Ability to build and manage a marketing team that will achieve results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, often amidst ambiguity
  • Superb communication and the ability to inspire senior executives, peers, and team with your vision and roadmap
