When it comes to integrity and competence, remember... People are amazing & horrible. Whether hiring a babysitter or co-worker, this is why hiring accuracy matters so much.

Nothing will help you more fully grasp the opportunity and risk you face every time you hire someone than principle 33:

People Are Amazing AND People Are Horrible.

We saw this principle very clearly during the COVID pandemic.

WHEN COVID HIT...
-We knew of people who willingly risked their lives to help others.
-We also knew of people who willingly risked others' lives so they could go to a gym or party while contagious.

WHEN 'WORK FROM HOME' BECAME THE NORM...
-We knew of workers who willingly reduced their salary so other teammates weren't laid off.
-We also knew of workers who secretly took a 2nd full-time job (& salary) because both employers would never know.

When it comes to matters of both INTEGRITY and COMPETENCE,  people are amazing AND people are horrible.
