If you run high-volume roles, you know exactly how the morning goes. A job posts, and within a day there are far more applicants than your team could ever screen. Someone has to open each resume, compare it to the job's requirements from memory, and decide whether that person moves forward. Then do it again a hundred more times. It's the step everybody dreads, and it eats the hours your team would rather spend talking to great candidates.
We think that step should mostly be done by the time you sit down. So today we're introducing AI Resume Review, now available in beta.
What It Is
AI Resume Review reads every candidate's resume and scores it against the requirements you already defined for that job, using the same attributes and rubrics you're using everywhere else on the scorecard. The score appears right on the Resume tab, sitting next to the exact lines of the resume that earned it. It also rolls into the candidate's overall score, exactly the way a screening question or an assessment does. Recruiters can sort the whole applicant list by it, click into any attribute to see the reasoning, and change anything they disagree with.
The short version: AI Resume Review scores every resume against your job's own requirements, with the evidence highlighted, the score counting toward the candidate's ranking, and the recruiter always in control.
Why We Built It
Resume screening has always been the most manual step in hiring, and one of the least rewarding. It costs hours per role, two reviewers rarely land on the same read, and a genuinely strong candidate can go unnoticed for no better reason than landing at position 214 on the list. What bothered us most is that all that reading traditionally happened outside of a standardized scorecard. A recruiter formed an opinion, and then the ranking moved on with bias clouding their decision.
Now with AI Resume Scoring, that work happens up front and consistently, on every single applicant. Your team can walk in and start with the people most likely to be worth a conversation.
What Makes It Different
Transparency. Plenty of tools hand you a score and expect you to trust it. This one shows its work. Click any attribute and it highlights the exact phrases in the resume that drove that number, so a recruiter can confirm the reasoning in seconds rather than taking the score at face value.
Your standards, not generic ones. Every score is graded against the attributes and rubrics already defined for that specific job, with per-attribute weights you set from 1 to 10 and optional scoring instructions for the role as a whole. Nothing is measured against an industry-average idea of a good resume. It's measured against yours, the same way every time, for every candidate.
Real weight in the ranking. The AI Resume Score isn't a widget parked off to the side. It folds into the candidate's overall score alongside screening questions and assessments, so what the resume shows genuinely affects where someone lands on your list.
Human judgment stays in charge. Any attribute score can be edited by a recruiter, and the overall score recalculates on the spot. The platform keeps a clear record of which scores came from the AI and which a person changed, so you always know what you're looking at. This is decision support, and only that: the score never advances or rejects a candidate on its own, and a person always makes the call.
Protection against gaming. Some candidates embed hidden text in a resume to try to talk an AI into inflating their score. AI Resume Review catches that kind of manipulation, strips it out before scoring, and then shows the recruiter exactly what it found.
How It Works
Setup only takes a couple of minutes. From a job requisition, open Setup, then AI Resume Scoring, switch it on, pick the attributes you want scored, set a weight from 1 to 10 for each one, and optionally add scoring instructions for the role or turn on auto-scoring so new applicants are rated the moment they come in.
After that, every candidate's Resume tab shows the resume on the left and the AI Resume Score on the right: an overall number, a short summary, and a per-attribute breakdown you can open up, dig into, or edit whenever you want. You'll also find a sortable AI Resume Score column on the Applicants list and an AI Resume Review line on the Score and Steps tabs. Resume text is processed by a third-party AI provider to generate the score, and your data is never used to train that provider's models, consistent with our SOC 2 commitments.
